Why Waterlase Dentistry?

waterlase

Tooth enamel is the hardest material in the human Body. No wonder dentists have always resorted to tough tools to work on it. Now there’s a gentler way to fix decay. Waterlase Dentistry™.

From the moment your Waterlase Dentist begins to work you’ll feel the difference!

The Benefits of Waterlase Dentistry.

More Comfortable Waterlase Dentistry uses laser energy and a gentle spray of water to perform a wide range of dental procedures – without the heat, vibration and pressure associated with the dental drill

More Precise

A Waterlase Dentist can remove decay far more precisely than a dentist using a drill. This saves more of the healthy parts of your tooth. Saving your natural teeth can save you from the discomfort and cost of bridges, dentures and implants.

How does Waterlase Dentistry work – is it safe?

Waterlase Dentistry is one of the most advanced dental technologies available today. It was developed by BIoLASE technology, the leader in dental lasers. BIoLASE dental lasers have been used to treat millions of patients.

A Waterlase laser creates special, highly concentrated light energy, and sends it through an optical fibre to its handpiece. Your dentist uses the handpiece to aim the laser energy at precisely the areas to be treated. Some laser systems combine the laser energy with a gentle spray of water.

Waterlase Dentistry was developed specifically to repair decayed and damaged teeth, and treat gum and other soft tissue in the mouth safely and comfortably. It can be harmful to eyes, however, so you, your dentist, and anyone else in the treatment room when the laser is being used must wear special protective glasses.

Why epic™ & ezLase™ laser treatment?

No one wants surgery!

But when surgery is required, conventional treatments utilizing a scalpel and stitches can cause a great degree of discomfort. EzLase laser treatments provide patients with greater comfort, less bleeding, faster healing and better clinical results than conventional treatments.

What laser treatments can the epic™ & ezLase™  laser do?

The ezLase laser system is indicated to treat your gums or any other soft tissue in your mouth:

Improve “Gummy” Smile

The ezLase laser system improves the appearance of your smile by contouring or shaping the gums by safely removing excess gum tissue that may give you a “gummy” smile, or make your front teeth appear irregular in size or shape.

Remove Traumatic Oral Growths

The ezLase laser system may be used to remove small “tags” called papillomas and growths called fibromas that result from cheek or tongue traumatic bite.

Fix “Tongue Tie” or Prevent Gum Recession

Tissue connections that restrict the movement of your tongue or cause gums recession can be “released” with the ezLase laser. Patients with tongue tie will experience speech improvement after the ezLase laser treatment.

Treat Gum Disease

Bleeding gums and gum recession are common signs of gingivitis and gum disease, caused by the presence of bacteria and inflammation inside the gums. The ezLase laser gum treatment is a painless procedure that removes inflammatory debris and infected tissue from inside the gums. Improved healing of the gum tissue follows after treatment along with proper oral care.

Relieve the Pain of Cold Sores and Fever Blisters

The ezLase laser treatment provides immediate relief from painful cold sores and fever blisters after a single application.

How does the epic™ & ezLase™ laser treatment work – is it safe?

BIOLASE Technology developed the ezLase laser system, a diode laser that performs many procedures requiring minor oral surgery and gum treatments. Through its pen-sized handpiece, the ezLase laser system emits a concentrated light that precisely interacts with the areas to be treated in a low dose and safe manner. It can also provide temporarily relief of pain and inflammation simply by delivering therapeutic heat.
